Session I: June 4-8 Session II: June 11-15 Session III: July 10-13 (4 Days/$248) Ages: 9-18 Cost: $310.00 Beat the Heat in the AIR CONDITIONING with us this summer. The camp will be held on our 120-yard turf field inside the University of Houston Athletics/Alumni Center, which is the home to all Cougar Athletics. The camp is designed for girls and boys (ages 9-18) of all abilities. Camp runs from 9am-3:30pm every day with a break for lunch (campers are to bring their own lunch). Registration for camp will be from 8:15am-9am on the first day of camp. Beat the Heat Camp will cover topics such as the principles of attacking and defending, passing, heading, and ball striking. Tactical work will delve into exploiting numerical advantages, increasing confidence and composure on the ball. In addition, there will be small sided games along with individual competition throughout the week. So come join us at our Beat the Heat camp and get out of that hot Houston sun! Camp includes a camp T-shirt. Beat the Heat Indoor Cougar Cubs Camp (Boys and Girls) Session I: June 4-8 (9am-11:30am) Session II: June 11-15 (1pm-3:30pm) Session III: July 10-13 ( 9- 11:30am /4 days/ $188) Cost: $235.00 Ages: 4-8 Beat the Heat Cougar Cubs Camp is designed for boys and girls ages 4-8 to have some fun INDOORS and out of the hot Houston sun. The camp is held on our 120 yard AIR CONDITIONED turf field inside the Alumni/ Athletics center located at the University of Houston. Camp will run from 9am-11:30 for sessions 1 and 3 with registration from 8:15am-9:00am on the first day of camp. Camp will run from 1pm-3:30 pm for session 2 with registration from 12:30pm-1:00pm on the first day of camp. The goal of the Beat the Heat Camp is to improve closed and open motor skill movements. The stall will implement energy, movement, and imagination so that your child not only learns the basics of soccer but also enjoys the game as well. You will enjoy watching your child compete, laugh, and learn the world’s game. Camp includes camp t-shirt. Goalkeeper/Striker Camp (Boys and Girls) Session I: June 16-17 Session II: July 21-22 Cost: $225.00 Ages: 9-18 The Goalkeeper/ Striker Camp is a two day position specific camp that runs from 9am-3pm each with a break for lunch (campers are to bring their own lunch). Registration will be from 8:15am-9am on the Carl Lewis Track and Field at the University of Houston on the first day of camp. The curriculum for the strikers includes a variety of attacking topics, including beating players one vs. one, creating runs, techniques of ball striking and surface finishing. Goalkeepers will encounter topics like shot stopping, saving the breakaway, the importance of footwork and ball handling, defending the service, and controlling the box. At the end of each session both the goalkeepers and the strikers will test their skills in a controlled game focusing on shooting for the striker and facing the shot for the goalkeeper. This is the perfect two day camp for soccer’s most skilled positions, the goalkeeper and the striker. Camp includes camp t-shirt. Elite Residential Camp (Boys and Girls) Session I: June 23-27 Session II: July 14-18 Cost: 535.00/ $475.00 (Commuter) Ages: 9-18 The UH Elite Residential Camp is comprised of our most advanced and challenging curriculum and training sessions. The camp is specifically designed for boys and girls (ages 9-18) who want to achieve their goal of becoming the best player they can be. Teams and individuals alike will be exposed to high level tactics and techniques specific to their respective ages and abilities. The staff will maintain a comfortable balance of enthusiasm and intensity in every training environment. Each player is expected to compete at a peak level at all times. Individual attention is given to each player as the camp emphasizes ball skills, principles of attacking and defending, and team shape and play. Campers will stay in the brand new dorms on campus called Cougar Village. There are 2 campers to each room and they can request a roommate if they have a friend attending camp as well. There is always staff present and two staff members will be on each floor staying overnight. In addition to soccer, campers also have the opportunity for a swim break in the afternoon and fun games in the evening at the dorms. We want to create a safe and fun environment for all campers! So come be a part of Cougar athletics at the UH Elite Residential Camp. Camp includes all meals, camp T-shirt, and ball. UH College ID Camp (Girls Only) Session I: July 14-18 Cost: $535.00/ $475.00 (Commuter) Ages: 14-18 We all know how confusing the college recruiting process can be, so why not get to know the process from those who know it best. The UH coaching staff will be holding a camp specifically designed for girl’s ages 14-18 who want to know what a college training session is like or for those who are interested in playing college soccer. We will help campers understand the recruiting process and what to expect as a college athlete. The camp will include classroom sessions that will go over recruiting information, college preparation, and questions and answers that campers may have. On the field, campers will experience what it’s like to be a college soccer player by going over fitness training, tactical work, competition, and daily tutorials on proper strength and conditioning. There will be nightly matches at the end of each day, and the campers will conclude the night in the dorms like any other student athlete. The end of camp will include and in depth evaluation by the UH coaching staff. Camp includes all meals, camp T-shirt, and ball. |
